Provenance and Comments: This painting by Géricault was stolen at the BNCI Libourne and the list was drawn up by Roganeau. Rose Valland's crate inventory indicates "Rosenberg Bernstein Bordeaux 109" as the label for the object in this crate. However, that inventory number does not exist. The closest match is this object (PR 109) which was removed from Mr. Rosenberg's property outside of Bordeaux, unless otherwise stated.
