Observations: Dr. Hamilton Drice was a noted scientist and explorer of the interwar years. He lived in Paris in the late 1930s. Presumably, some of his property ended up at the Jeu de Paume. Dr. Drice petitioned the ERR for them to return his items. It is not known whether or not he succeeded. But the fact that they were flagged in his name by Rose Valland means that he succeeded in getting through to senior officials in the ERR either directly or through the German Embassy in Paris.
