This work by Degas was mis-inventoried as BoR 168 while stored at the German Embassy in Paris shortly after its seizure in the summer of 1940. According to French restitution records, this pastel was restituted to Paul Rosenberg on 18 July 1946. It now hangs at the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Lyon. See Bor 168. |
