Provenance and Comments: | The Munich card for LH 1 establishes the place of confiscation as 81, avenue Victor Hugo. However, the French restitution files for LH1 indicate two possible addresses--11, Avenue d'Eylau, home of Germaine Levy-Hermanos--or 35, rue de la Boetie, the address for Galerie Marcel Bernheim et Cie., owned by Levy-Hermanos. |
