Literature: The owner of Marcel Bernheim's gallery was Levy-Hermannos.
Provenance and Comments: Returned to M.A. for sale. Slated for transport to Nikolsburg on 1 August 1944. However, the train never left Paris. The Galerie Marcel Bernheim was owned by members of the Levy Hermanos family. Some works such as this one were the property of the galllery as opposed to the personal property of Levy Hermanos. The number [9] assigned to this painting in the restitution file [RA 43] is different from the one attributed to this work [2] by the Germans.
