| Provenance and Comments: | According to the ERR inventory, this painting came in to the Jeu de Paume through the aid of Dr. Roskamp and was processed at the Jeu de Paume by Dr. Borchers. After its repatriation to Belgium, this painting was recorded by Belgian restitution authorities as A 238 and sold as Lot 270 in a public auction in Brussels in January 1950. This painting corresponds to one that Mr. Kleinberg lost in February 1941 in Brussels. See Kiste Nr. KL I. | ||||||||
