Auf rechteckigem weissen Mamorsockel mit Bronzebeschlägen und der Aufschrift L'Heure de Berger, Uhr in Form einer gerippten Kerze mit Schaftrigen davor eine Terrakottagruppe. Sitzendes, wenig bekleidetes Mädchen mit Blüten im Schoss. Links neben ihr kniend ein nackter Hirte. Hinter beiden Amor, der die Stunde zählt.

Literature: The photograph for this mantel or table clock is in the Merzbach collection. The confusion between Dreyfuss and Merzbach is probably due to the fact that these two collections were stolen at about the same time and both contained a fair number of decorative objects.
Provenance and Comments: Based on the brief description of this object in Rose Valland's crate inventory, one would have to surmise that this object is the same one as the one packed at the Jeu de Paume for Goering in the first half of 1941.
