Provenance and Comments: Tausch 15 [Tausch 7]. Sold by Rochlitz to Petrides, Paris. [Rochlitz report, p.8]. On March 10, 1942 the art dealer Gustav Rochlitz exchanged four ‘degenerate’ paintings by Matisse, Modigliani and Renoir, with a 16th century panel from Florence depicting the Holy Family. The paintings belonged to Paul Rosenberg, Rothschild and Michel Georges-Michel.
